CLAREITI
Your privacy
Your trips, your choices. Here is how Clareiti handles your information.
What we save and why
We save your account details, itineraries, preferences and planning progress so you can build your trip and return to it on another device. Planning progress includes recent messages you send to Clare and the suggestions you receive.
When you use them, we also keep your sharing choices, reviews, saved ideas, support requests and newsletter preferences. Limited usage and security records help us manage planning allowances, protect accounts and resolve problems.
Clare and our service providers
Clare is Clareiti’s AI travel assistant. To answer a request, our AI provider processes the relevant trip details, preferences and messages. Place research uses a search provider. Avoid including sensitive information in messages or place descriptions.
We use service providers for hosting, account access, saved data, email delivery, AI processing and payments. They process information needed to provide those services. Email sign-in uses a one-time code; Clareiti does not ask you to create a separate password. When offered, other sign-in providers handle their own credentials.
Your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States, and may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those countries.
Photos, screenshots and voice
Photos used to create share cards are processed on your device and are not saved to your Clareiti account. A card you save or send is handled by your device and the app you choose.
If you choose to read an itinerary screenshot, the image is sent to an AI service for text extraction. Clareiti does not save the image to your account. Extracted text is retained in the processing result and any plan you save.
Optional voice input uses your browser’s speech service, which may send audio to its provider. Clareiti does not keep the audio. You can review the transcript before sending it to Clare.
Do not upload passports, licences or other identity documents, or enter identity numbers, banking credentials or passwords. Enter payment-card details only in the payment provider’s checkout.
Your private trips and shared plans
Your trips are private unless you choose to share them. Sharing controls explain what other people can see or edit. Review names, locations and descriptions before sharing because they may reveal personal information.
A public highlights link includes only the selected activity names, place labels and title you approve. Anyone with the link can view and copy it. These links expire after 90 days, and you can revoke them earlier in Settings.
Publishing on Explore creates a separate public itinerary from the fields you review. Your account email, travel dates, private notes, locked activities, bookings and attachments are not automatically included. Anyone can view, copy, print or share that public itinerary and its chosen display name. You can unpublish it at any time.
Revoking access or unpublishing does not remove screenshots, downloads or independent copies already kept by other people.
Support and account protection
Authorised administrators may access relevant information to help with a support request, investigate a credible security or abuse concern, or meet a legal requirement. Administrative access is restricted and recorded with a reason. Reports about public content are visible to administrators. Clareiti is not end-to-end encrypted.
Payments and notifications
Our payment provider handles checkout and payment-card details. Clareiti keeps purchase references, amounts, currencies and planning allowances, not your payment-card details. Financial records may be retained where required by law.
Browser notifications use a device subscription address. Push messages use generic text without itinerary details. In-app notifications are scheduled for removal after 90 days. You can manage notification preferences in Settings.
Newsletters are optional and separate from account emails. You can unsubscribe in Settings or through the unsubscribe link.
Keeping and removing your information
Saved trips and recent revisions are kept while your account is active. Use Settings to export account data, request deletion or change your preferences. A deletion request may need review when a trip includes another person’s contributions; you can check its status in your account.
Limited security, consent and legally required records may be retained. Backup copies are removed through backup retention cycles and may not disappear immediately. Copies on your devices are separate from your account; you can choose to remove them when signing out.
